Dominique Griffin’s Pro-Debut @ Gas Monkey | Dallas, TX

It's gonna be like the 12 days of Christmas for this fight, lol. I have enough pictures for each day leading up to the fight December 1st. Gonna be funny. Haven't done a marketing campaign like this before. It wasn't planned, I just had so many good photos from the photo session, I wanted to show them all. So, I will have to be a little creative, so they don't all look the same. Looking forward to it....

Alejandro Guerrero & Martinez Boxing

Great opportunity to do some more boxing photography & make a little hype video, lol. I don’t do much more than this with videos, so it is what it is! I don’t have the right software to do much more & I really don’t care to be super fantastic at it. I like putting music to it & doing them as quick as possible…

Alejandro will be on the undercard for Broner vs Garcia on Showtime July 29th, 2017! Going for 4-0 3KO haha.

David Martinez always trying to do the best he can for his fighters, we have put together some pretty good campaigns over the last couple years. Look for more upcoming as I try to get my feet on the ground as a photographer around Houston.

Briargrove Ballerinas

Looking forward to taking some photos of an upcoming ballet recital @ Briargrove Elementary.  The only other ballerina that I have photographed is possibly the most famous in Houston; Lauren Anderson, she has her own day.  I didn't get to photograph her doing ballet, it was boxing & she is fierce!

This upcoming event, I am looking forward to having the new Nikon D7200 & two new Yongnuo 660 flashes w/ controller.  I hope that it all arrives & I have a couple days to play with it before the recital!  Otherwise, I'll have to use good ol' trusty.  Some of my latest style photos I have really enjoyed making.  I have been using Gaussian blur with a wispy white vignette.  Not all of my photos show up on my website or even my social media, do to certain privacy requirements.  But, I have been pretty hard at work lately!  I have enjoyed doing one project at a time & being able to focus on each project a little more with a more personal touch in PS!  I am really looking forward to growing my business so that I can start shooting some architecture/realty photos.  I think that is where my PS skills will start to show, but I still need a "full-frame" camera to do it effectively, in my opinion.....sigh....someday SOON!

This photos below are from this late last summer, no flash, in a dark, 100 degree, boxing gym.  So it was pushing the camera to the limits.  But, I have a ton of great photos of Lauren.  Very thankful for the opportunity!

If you want Elite Level Training, David Martinez is USA Boxing Certified.  Having spent many hot sweaty hours in the gym with him, traveled to Reno for the Olympic Trials to watch his fighter Jay Crenshaw try for his Olympic Dream; David is an amazingly dedicated trainer!  Elite amateurs, aspiring amateurs, just for fitness & Professional fighters are the game, Martinez Boxing is the game.

Jay Crenshaw Boxing Videos

Jay had a very disappointing Olympic Trials. That’s life, young man. There were a lot of win streaks that came to an end that week for a lot of fighters. Pick yourself up, you made it there. You will always have that, the rest of your life. There are plenty of wins in your future! I am looking forward to following Jay’s career.

Rocky Juarez told me the other day about Jay, “when Jay is on, I don’t think he could be beat,” “if Jay came to me & said he lost at “his best” I’d ask who it was that beat him, because he is going to be a future world champion.

Just Another Night Sparring with Martinez Boxing….

If you come to spar with one of Coach Martinez’s kids, you’re going to get some work done.  He has teamed up with #GabeBernal (strength & conditioning) to get these young aspiring fighters, elite amateurs into professional form as wells as getting them to world class stages.  Like the US Men’s Olympic Trials & the Junior National Championships in Reno, NV.  Dedication, fund raising, feeding, driving kids around, finding them jobs…I can’t promise that for every fighter, but those are just a few of the lengths that Coach Martinez has gone for his athletes.  You better be 100% committed, because he is 110% committed.

The lighting isn’t always the greatest for photography, but it is great for photography, haha.

Jay Crenshaw Motivational Calendar!

I need a couple more months, I think I am at 8 or something. I am about to find out as I upload them to this post. These are some of my favorite photographs I have ever taken! This little spot of BabyBullBoxing.com has great lite & the window is perfect. When the lite bounces off the floor, which is blue, it reflects a blue highlight onto subjects. Very cool. I need some inspirational quotes to go with these, so help me out!

Jay’s Calendar in the making! Click this text, it is a link!

Jay Crenshaw | Unanimous Winner in first U.S. Olympic Qualifier fight

Jay just won his first fight in Philadelphia! On to the next round. He is looking sharp & dominated his first fight. He is a polished style fighter great entertainment. Please help support him, he is still in need of support! His spot isn’t a guarantee! If he needs a second try, it will be in Memphis, TN. All donations are for a great cause & a promising young man’s dream of representing this country in the 2016 Olympic Games.

D’Angelo Keyes – 2016 Olympic Dreams still alive!

D'Angelo Keyes, Martinez Boxing, Baby Bull Boxing Academy

D’Angelo won his first fight in Philadelphia, in my opinion all 3 rounds.  Unfortunately, if you are unfamiliar with the set-up for the event, there are two rings right next to each other.  The bell official sounded the end of the round 1:30 early in round 2.  I have been watching the fights on a live stream, but of course missed the fight.  Coach Martinez said he should have won & certainly with the extra time easily could have.  D’Angelo has a high motor & always finishes stronger than his opponents.  This time, no excuses, but his competitor got a huge blessing & was not subject to half a round of D’Angelo’s power.  He can still compete in the Memphis Qualifier & I plan on doing everything I can to get him there!  You can help too.  Any amount will help him, it is quick & easy.  You can be assured it is for a great cause.  He will fight for every penny he is generously given.  Please see the interview I have done with him & some of the other videos that display his raw, high octane talent!
