These are some of the photos from Off the Wall Gallery, in Houston. They were hosting a private collection of Salvador Dali artwork. Christine Argillet has know him since a young age & i believe her father was the publisher for either all or a significant portion of Dali’s artwork. I was personally very excited to see the display, Salvador Dali’s artwork I have always been intrigued by. It is unique to say the least. Here are some of the people in attendance that evening & some of the artwork mixed in with work by other artists (statues, etc...)
Another great event that I was invited to take pics for. I get all of the structural shots, usually in a 30 - 60 minute window, so they aren't optimal shots all the time. But, I love doing them & occasionally they will make their way into the magazine. Mostly, I am there for the party & pictures of the guests. I enjoy doing both & I am very happy for every opportunity (Carol Lamadrid @ Luxe Interior+Design)!
Last Thursday night, I was in Bunker Hill, TX, for LUXE, at a showhome by Cupic Custom Homes with interior designs by Elizabeth Garrett Interiors. There were many other businesses that contributed to an amazing evening. Well, for me at least, it was a stunning home. Seemed like everyone had a great time! The home was staged with some great furniture Custom Creations Furniture & amazing artwork provided by Laura Rathe Fine Art Studio. Obviously, this isn’t the level of home I am accustomed to, lol, but this house was amazing…. it was so spacious & with great windows? When can I move in?!

Below is what, I, love to do; make online & hard marketing material for your business. All these shots were from the event. Obviously, there is a slight to significant difference between event portraits & portrait session photos. The same with the interior/exterior photos, but hey, that is what I do. Be as versatile as possible & maximize all opportunities!
What a day! I get a new camera (Nikon D7200) @ Houston Camera Exchange, then I came home to play with it a bit & got a text about a last minute photography gig. I literally took the first shutter release at the event. I was kinda scared to use it! It is the scenario where you take photos all night & get home to find that you have completely blown it! Haha. But, I did it anyway.
Laura Rathe's art gallery is very beautiful in a unique little building off of Richmond Ave. On this evening, it was full of bunnies & parrots. Hunt Slonem was the artist of the evening. A sit down interview, followed by a book signing in which Mr. Slonem, not only signed each book, he drew each fan their own set of bunnies inside the front cover. I am pretty sure I was the only one in the building who had absolutely no idea who he was, but the paintings were pretty awesome. I was pretty inspired, if you just, DO-U, you will make some fantastic art.
So, in conclusion; if you have $50k, you can get yourself a beautiful piece of Hunt Slonem art @ Laura Rathe Fine Art Gallery & I thoroughly enjoyed another LUXE | Houston event!
Natacha is an up & coming Houston designer! I was a last minute potographer, haha. Hopefully I will start becoming the choice photographer, but till then, I enjoy it all along the way. Natacha is great, you will love her & her product. These photos in some form will be in her advertisement, in the November December of LUXE Interiors + Design
Another LUXE Magazine assignment to cover the grand opening of Ashore Chandeliers. An amazing showroom as you walk in, the craftsmanship & creativity is on display immediately. Various sizes & styles matched with great furniture pieces. Wow, if you have a ranch style home, Ashore, for sure. If you want a Texan style, prestigious feel....
